How to do the main jobs

One job per page: the exact words to say to your agent and what happens in the app. Written for Claude Code. Codex and Cursor take the same words. If you're new, start with the first one.

  1. 018 min

Your first cut with Claude Code

Install the app, make a workspace, add your footage, connect Claude Code and ask for a cut. About twenty minutes, ending with an exported video.

  2. 027 min

Clean up a talking head: pauses, false starts, captions

One take to camera, the ums and restarts gone, captions on, in three asks. The job Claude Code does best.

  3. 037 min

Captions: styles, bar rules, fixing words and safe zones

Ask Claude Code for captions from the transcript, pick a look, set how bars are cut, fix a word, and keep them clear of the Reels UI.

  4. 046 min

Turn one long recording into a week of short clips

A 20-minute screen recording or podcast becomes five captioned clips, each its own video, each exported, from one ask.

  5. 057 min

A product demo from a screen recording

A talking-head intro, a screen recording cut to the sentences where you name each feature, the feature names on screen, captions, and a 16:9 export. Four asks.

  6. 066 min

A captioned clip from a podcast episode

Turn one minute of an audio episode into a square video with the show's name on top and every word captioned, with the two speakers told apart.

  7. 076 min

Block out a video before you shoot

Write the whole video as named slots with notes, shoot to the list, and drop the clips on the slots. Five built-in structures to start from.

  8. 085 min

Record a voiceover and add music

Record a take from the playhead while the timeline plays, drop a song underneath, and let the music duck under your voice. Done by hand, since the agent can't hold a microphone.
